Birthday Gift

On my twenty first birthday, I wore a beautiful vintage hat adorned with a ridiculous feather ensemble I created. For my twenty third birthday, I decided a headdress would be the way to go. So I made one. Here's a little photo collection of my birthday celebration. Thank you to Bramble for the beautiful flowers (and photos)! And thanks to Unveiled Bridal for ordering me the feathers.

  2. Fantastic! I love your courageous sense of style! It takes a fun confident person to rock a look like that. I wish I had more of that confidence in my own style!

Thanks so much for the great comment you left on The French Mouse. And you're totally right about that one image...the slightly turned stance and width of the dress on that little girl definitely is reminiscent of Las Meninas. In fact, you have anticipated part two of my post (coming soon...) Many of Recuenco's images reference famous paintings, but in such a subtle sophisticated way. I'm very excited to show some of my comparison images and see what you all think of my theories. Recuenco definitely knows his art history very well!
